Gary Mesibov back in Wales by popular demand
WREXHAM, Wales: We are bringing Professor Gary Mesibov back to Wales by popular demand and will be hosting a 3-day TEACCH conference (from March 24 to 26, 2010) in Wrexham, North Wales. This will be Gary’s first venture up North in Wales and he is really looking forward to it! Please see further details on the courses below!
Professor Mesibov will be heading to Glyndwr University, Wrexham in March 2010 to deliver the three-day 'Introduction to TEACCH' seminar. This will be his only 3-day TEACCH course in Wales in 2010. This fascinating course will be of great practical benefit to all professionals working with children with an autistic spectrum disorder, including teachers, social care workers, speech and language therapists, psychologists, learning support staff and many others. It is designed to familiarise participants with autism and the various approaches to working with people with autism and their families.
Structured Teaching, Division TEACCH's main intervention approach, will be emphasised and participants will see how it has evolved in response to the unique needs of the autistic population. Aspects of applying TEACCH techniques to classroom instruction will be highlighted. The cost of the course is £425, including lunch and refreshments. A discount is available for group bookings. Please find a booking form in the Library section of this site.
